Long before anyone even knew that Universal Studios Orlando was building the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, IQ was engaged in conceiving and developing the strategies for how this important world-wide event would live on-line.
For a year we developed consumer strategies, user experience plans and creative designed to bring this extraordinary theme park to life even before it opened. We realized that since most people would not be able to visit the park immediately we needed a viral experience that would build loyalty and interest over time. Working with J.R. Rowling’s organization and Warner Brothers we designed a virtual theme park in which visitors could get a taste of what it would be like to visit the park. Our team of dyed-in-the-wool Potter experts, working out of our very own Chamber of Secrets designed an experience that incorporated game and social dynamics in order to earn repeat visits, as well many of the iconic elements from the books and movies. The site creative execution and CG animation were produced by Rossomedia in London.
